      • Weather and Suitable Clothing:Tatacoa Desert: During the day, temperatures can exceed 35°C, but nights are usually cool. Bring light clothing, a hat, sunscreen and a light jacket for the night.
        San Agustin: It has a mild climate with occasional rain. Wear comfortable footwear and waterproof clothing if you visit during the rainy season.
      • Hydration and Nutrition: In the desert, it is essential to bring enough water and light snacks, as the distances between points of interest can be long and the heat exhausting.
        In San Agustín, enjoy local cuisine at recommended restaurants, with typical dishes such as roasted Huilense and tamales.
      • Accessibility and Transportation: Both destinations require ground transportation from Neiva. For greater comfort and safety, it is recommended to book guided tours that include transfers between destinations.
        In the desert, some areas may require 4×4 vehicles for access.
      • Respect for Natural and Cultural Sites: In the Archaeological Park of San Agustín, it is forbidden to touch the statues and you must follow the indicated route to preserve the heritage.
        In the desert, respect the flora and fauna, and don't leave garbage.

          Hat or cap to protect you from the sun.
          Lightweight jacket for cool nights.

        • San Agustin: Comfortable and versatile clothing, ideal for a mild climate.
          Poncho or raincoat in case of rain.
          Trekking or tennis shoes for hiking.

        • Light scarf or scarf to protect you from dust in the desert.
