Antioquia: Coffee, Art, and Tradition

3 Days 2 Nights
  • Cultura y Naturaleza
  • Español e Inglés

This experience allows you to explore Antioquia through two facets that coexist in the same territory: the Medellín that reinvented itself and eastern Antioquia with its ancestral crafts and trades. The tour begins in the capital city, where an electric bike tour connects the city’s reclaimed public spaces —Ciudad del Río, Parques del Río, and the historic center, with Botero Plaza as the main open-air sculpture museum of master Fernando Botero— before delving into a coffee plantation in Itagüí, where the bean is traced from seed to cup.

The experience continues with the Comuna 13 tour, one of the world’s most renowned urban and social transformation processes, which turned its adversity into social, cultural, and economic opportunity through street art and the memory of its own community. From there, the journey moves to eastern Antioquia, in La Ceja, to explore a sanctuary that houses 25,000 plants and 5,000 orchid species—with over 1,000 always in bloom—along a cloud forest trail guided by its founder.

The final stop is in Carmen de Viboral, the birthplace of Carmen de Viboral pottery with more than a century of tradition, where the traveler not only visits the workshop and meets the artisans who sustain this legacy, but also decorates their own piece by hand alongside a local decorator.

With local guides, family-friendly experiences, and traditional craft workshops passed down through generations, this tour brings together urban innovation, biodiversity, and living heritage within a single region.
